“How much is a photoshoot in Dubai?” is the first question almost everyone asks, and the honest answer is that it depends. A 30-minute deal on a coupon site and a full-day brand campaign are both called photoshoots. This guide explains what drives the photoshoot price in Dubai in 2026, roughly what the market looks like, and how to compare packages so you know what you’re paying for.

We are Dubai photographers led by Rami Al-asaad, so we see both sides: what clients ask and what a shoot really takes.

What affects the cost of a photoshoot in Dubai?

Six things move the price more than anything else:

  • Time. Most photographers price by the hour or by the session. A one-hour family shoot and an eight-hour wedding are priced very differently.
  • Number of edited photos. Some packages include 20 edited images, others the full gallery. Editing and retouching take time, so more images cost more.
  • Location. One location is cheaper than two. Desert shoots add transport. Yachts and some venues add hire fees or permit costs.
  • Crew. A second photographer, a videographer, hair and makeup, stylists or models all add to the cost.
  • Usage. Photos for your personal Instagram cost less than photos for a billboard campaign. Commercial usage rights are part of the price.
  • Experience and style. An established photographer with a consistent portfolio charges more than a beginner building one.

Typical photoshoot prices in Dubai by type

Prices vary widely, so treat these as a guide to what changes the cost rather than fixed numbers. Always ask exactly what’s included in the package.

Family, couple and personal photoshoots

Short sessions of around an hour are the most common booking. Coupon deals for 30-minute shoots can be much cheaper than a full session, but they usually include very few edited photos. Longer sessions, extra locations and video push the price up. See our family photography and couple photoshoot pages. A flying dress photoshoot in the desert is priced as a styled session, because the dress and transport are part of it.

Proposal and honeymoon shoots

Proposals need planning: scouting the spot, hiding the photographer and timing the moment. That extra work is reflected in the price, along with any venue or yacht hire. Our proposal photographer guide explains the process.

Wedding photography

Weddings cost the most because of the hours involved, the number of photographers and the editing afterwards. A few hours of coverage for a small ceremony costs far less than two photographers and a videographer for a full day. Read our wedding photography page for what full-day coverage includes.

Corporate headshots, events and business photography

Headshots are often priced per person, with team days priced per half or full day at your office. Event photography is usually priced by the hour. See corporate headshots.

Product and e-commerce photography

Product photography is usually priced per image or per product, with lifestyle and creative shots priced per session. See product photography in Dubai.

Fashion and commercial shoots

Campaigns and lookbooks depend on the number of looks, crew, models, a stylist and usage rights. They’re quoted project by project.

What should a photoshoot package include?

Before you compare prices, check that each quote covers:

  • Session length and number of locations
  • Number of edited, high-resolution photos
  • Delivery time and how you receive the photos (usually an online gallery, with a preview before final approval)
  • Retouching level
  • Travel, transport, permits or venue fees
  • Usage rights if the photos are for business
  • Cancellation and rescheduling terms, which matter in the summer heat and the occasional sandstorm

Cheap vs professional: is it worth paying more?

A cheap shoot can be fine if you just want a few holiday snaps. The risk is in what you can’t see in an advert: no backup equipment, no plan if the light is harsh, heavy filters, or photos that arrive weeks late. For things you can’t repeat, like a wedding or a proposal, paying for experience is cheap insurance. Always ask to see a full gallery, not just the best ten photos on Instagram.

Frequently asked questions

Do photographers in Dubai charge per hour?

Many do, especially for events and personal sessions. Weddings, products and campaigns are more often quoted as packages.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Most photographers ask for a deposit to hold the date, with the balance due before or after the shoot. With us it is a 20% deposit, then the remaining 80% when you receive your photos.

Is it more expensive to shoot in the desert?

Usually a little, because of transport and travel time. The light is worth it. See our desert photoshoot guide.
